Revised Federal Race/Ethnicity Categories: Comment Period Closes April 12
The period for submitting comments to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on its proposed revisions to statistical standards for collecting and reporting race and ethnicity data closes April 12. Additional comments from institutions of higher education, including the input of IR/IE professionals, would be a valuable contribution in the review and discernment process.
The IR/IE community is well-positioned to offer feedback on the proposed revisions as well as the potential impact on institutional data collection systems and protocols. A recent NCES Blog post from contains more information, including how to post a comment.
