Purdue University Fort Wayne is located in Indiana’s second-largest city and offers a traditional campus experience within a thriving metropolitan setting. Students have the opportunity to work alongside faculty to tackle real-world challenges through groundbreaking research, to create exciting new scholarship, and explore new facets of creative expression.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to end-users' requests to create or modify new reports.
  • Train and support Cognos end-user community.
  • Support Cognos and Operational Data Store (ODS) upgrades by participating in testing and troubleshooting processes.
  • Train and support Cognos end-user community on Cognos and ODS features and functionality.
  • Support Cognos and ODS upgrades and patches by participating in testing and troubleshooting processes.
  • Designs and develops intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations to present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Interprets data and provides insights to stakeholders through visualizations, enabling them to make informed decisions and identify actionable items.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other quantitative discipline will be considered.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with stakeholders and with technical and non-technical personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tableau, Cognos, and Microsoft Office reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and tools to align data visualizations with business strategies.
  • Previous experience working in a higher education environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in an environment supporting multiple departments, gathering requirements to modify existing reports or create new reports meeting the end-user's specifications.
