Leveraging Postsecondary Data Partnership Dashboards for Effective Benchmarking

The National Student Clearinghouse’s Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) dashboards shine a light on metrics and subpopulations that are not otherwise visible in federal databases. They also offer the ability to compare student performance at one institution to that of students at the hundreds of other institutions that participate in the PDP.
Participants in this session will explore multiple case studies that demonstrate the benchmarking capabilities of the PDP to inform how institutional researchers and others might use benchmarking to better understand student performance and to plan for targeted interventions.
As a result of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand the process for selecting and applying appropriate benchmarks.
- Identify opportunities and challenges of benchmarking.
- Analyze their institution’s performance relative to other institutions based on selected benchmarks.
- Apply student success priorities that align with institutional goals and targets.

- You will receive the Zoom link the day before the workshop.
- The workshop will be interactive, including the use of hands-on exercises and discussion.
