Job Duties: The Yeshiva University Office of Institutional Research, a component of the Office of the Provost, has responsibility for compiling and analyzing statistical data about the University in order to support policy decisions. The Office also serves as a statistical and management consultant to other departments across the University.
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Associate Director will have primary responsibility for developing surveys and analyzing data concerning YU constituents, and using those survey results to guide policy decisions.
The candidate may also be involved in assisting the Director with the conduct of academic research suitable for scholarly publication in education policy or related journals. In addition, he or she may be asked to teach one section of introductory statistics to undergraduates. Qualifications: A Master's degree in quantitative methods, psychology, sociology, economics, or a related social science, and at least 2 years of related experience are required. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative analytical skills and a background in social science. Comfort with a statistical software package and scripting language (ideally, Stata, or alternatively, SPSS) is a necessity. Familiarity with database tools such as SQL or Microsoft Access is beneficial.
