For more information, please visit our Web site. Job Duties: This position reports to the Assistant Director of Research. This position will respond to StudentTracker research related questions coming to the Clearinghouse as they are related to methodologies, code sets, and data definitions from secondary and post-secondary educational institutions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: --Use discretion and judgment in responding to questions from educational researchers on research using Clearinghouse data related to methodologies, code sets, and data definitions.
--Apply advanced knowledge of research methods in the social sciences in conducting literature reviews, proofreading manuscripts, and formatting tables for print and/or presentation.
--Monitor a National Student Clearinghouse researcher list serve, triage email messages referred to the research department, and ensure that questions are answered accurately and correctly in an acceptable timeframe.
--Provide data documentation for Clearinghouse participation rates for use in national studies.
--Position may be required to perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ Years of experience in research field, or Master’s Degree with one year of academic research experience. • Demonstrated exceptional literary skills (reading and writing) • At least two years of formal education in advanced research methods in the social sciences • Demonstrated ability to apply advanced knowledge of research methods • 3 years experience using data analysis software
