Job Duties:
Overall Job Responsibilities:
Plan and direct the utilization of distance learning technologies for the delivery of instruction for the college main campus and outreach sites. Assist faculty in the effective use of web-based and interactive television (ITV) based instruction. In addition, this position will have direct supervisor responsibility for the Outreach Site Coordinators and the overall educational and administrative activities of the outreach sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with staff and faculty concerning all aspects of the college’s distance learning program to include implementation, develop and implement appropriate training, coordination of scheduling of ITV and online courses, research and keep the college abreast of all best practices within the ITV and online arena, maintain associated equipment at all sites. In addition provide direct supervision, leadership and administrative support for the outreach sites while under the direction of the Academic Dean.

Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology, Computer Science or a directly related field together with demonstrated knowledge of and success in the use of current technologies in distance learning. Planning and budgeting experience in an academic environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with faculty, administration, students and a minimum of three years experience as a functional leader. Hands on experience with Jenzabar would be a plus.
