Job Duties: Loyola Marymount University seeks an experienced Research Associate to perform professional research in support of the Seaver College of Science & Engineering and its mission. The Research Associate will direct, design and conduct the development of methods and procedures, the preparation of research, and the writing of research findings.

Qualifications: We seek candidates with the following:

• Typically a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred. 4-5 years of related experience in research methodology, design, assessment and analysis, and implementation within higher education.

• Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of quantitative and qualitative methodology, collection, and statistical.

• Familiarity with the academic enterprise within a university or college and knowledge of key issues and concepts in higher education.

• Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by the preparation of research reports, executive summaries, slides, and handouts that present technical information in an easily understood fashion.

• Effective organizational skills; ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and diverse groups; demonstrated success working collaboratively.

• Demonstrated computer competency, preferably knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite, surveying tools, SPSS and various statistical software packages and applications.
