Updated 4/29/02 Passport or Birth Certificate and government issued photo ID We now recommend when entering or leaving Canada you must have either your Passport or a copy of your Birth Certificate and a government issued photo ID (Drivers License, etc.). It is assumed that a "copy of your Birth Certificate" means a certified copy with the county stamp or embosses impression on the copy of the birth certificate. Previously in the Forum Preliminary Program Book it was stated that: Canada is a foreign country, so be sure you have proof of citizenship for entering the country, and returning home. A passport is best since border security has been increased, otherwise two pieces of photo ID along with your proof of citizenship should be adequate. Please consider this an update to that information as security has become stricter. NOTE: Non-US citizens are encouraged to check the US Web site

This website was last updated on 3/14/02. For more information, please click INS home and FAQ for more options regarding recent changes. There is a commercial Web site that may also be of help for non-US Citizens:

3/6/02 The Web based Forum Registration is available and the feedback is that it is an easy way to register for the Forum. This year a major improvement relates to Credit Card processing. We used to review the Registration forms and manually enter your Credit Card information via a phone terminal. This year while you are completing the Registration form, if you select Credit Card as the payment method your information will be sent to a banking processing company to process before you complete the registration process. The card validation and transaction processing occurs within seconds.
